How does the focused ultrasound Shifu Plus work?
Shifu Plus definitively breaks with the past: finally there is now a non-invasive technology that gives anti-ageing results that match those of a surgical facelift, introducing results to the professional aesthetics world that until yesterday were only possible in the world of aesthetic surgery.
Unlike traditional heat infusion methods, HIFU focusing creates a series of small thermal ‘traumas’ (TCP: Thermal Coagulation Points) in sub-dermal layers until reaching deep into the SMAS, the connection between the skin and muscle responsible for the collapse of tissue over time and skin laxity.
The acoustic waves are concentrated in areas that are well defined subcutaneously, increasing the temperature in a matrix of focused points. As a result, a retraction of the muscle area is generated that raises the structure of the face with a lifting effect comparable to that surgery.
